Kenosha Theatre Restoration Project
Volunteers

Volunteering, is just as important in a community as donating. Many things have been accomplished in the project already with the help and support of volunteers. We meet on Wednesdays at 5:00 pm -7:00 pm at 5919-6th Avenue Kenosha, a storefront in the theatre. Meetings are sometimes cancelled if not enough members can make it for the meeting to be productive. But, we've managed to meet every week since the beginning of this year. Sometimes, if there are no organizational items to discuss, we will call it a work night instead of a meeting night. On these nights, we will be doing anything from clean-up in the theater, to wiring lighting, to creating mailings or other marketing material. If you have an interest in attending, you can just show up or RSVP to the Kenosha Theatre info e-mail box to let us know how many people are going to be there so we can plan accordingly.

A lot is getting done, but we really need help. We have organized several major clean-up days and have been working to grow the group. We're producing a television program about the restoration too. So there's a camera around a lot. However, we want to do more. There is so much more that needs to be done and you may have just the talents we need to bring this project to the next stage. We can use assistance in many different areas including marketing, promotion, fundraising and making phone calls. If you are a tradesperson, we can use your expertise. We are always working on projects that involve electrical, plumbing, carpentry and plastering.

Please please e-mail us if you are interested in attending a meeting or work day. You'll get a response telling you the most recent meeting or work schedule. You may also check out our events page to see what will be happening at the theater in the near future. We will appreciate anything that you can help us with.
