Kenosha Theatre Restoration Project
Focus

This is an exciting time at the Kenosha Theatre. I personally invite you to find out more about the restoration project.

Now is the time for the Kenosha Theatre to be restored into a premiere entertainment complex for the community. The Theatre is a wonderful compliment to the exciting revitalization occurring in our downtown area. There are many facets to our restoration but 3 main phases that we are focusing on. The first is the phase we are currently in, clean-up. The next phase will be the actual restoration. Finally, we will move into the operation of the Theatre.

Projects like the one at the Kenosha Theatre have received their capital funding many different ways. The Genesee Theatre just to our south received the received the bulk of its capital funding through City of Waukegan general obligation bonds, state and federal grants. The Sheboygan to our north was able to restore their theatre through the generous donations of individuals and corporations. Here at the Kenosha Theatre, our plans call for a combination based on the success and experiences of many other theatres.

On behalf of the other members of the Board of Directors and all our generous volunteers of the Friends of the Kenosha Theatre, I would like to thank you for your support and continued interest. If you have not come to see us or it has been a while, I invite you to come play a part in the exciting restoration of the Kenosha Theatre. This project will have a positive impact on the community while providing wonderful, varied, and affordable programming for all ages within the world class setting of the restored Kenosha Theatre.

Working together a community can accomplish almost anything.

I look forward to seeing you at the Kenosha Theatre,

Jeff Baas, Chairperson
